So, what exactly is a flat croissant, you ask? Essentially, these new “flat croissants” are a delightful flattened version of the classic croissant. Think an even crisper, more biscuit-like texture. In the case of Essbar, the flattened pastry is taken to a new dimension with different dips, too.
Essbar is known for switching up its croissant game with options from savory zaatar to decadent chocolate. The home-grown brand also has experimented with different croissant shapes, too, with its signature crolls (circular croissant rolls that come in options like oreo, pistachio rose, and salted caramel).
