Riyadh’s very best restaurants were revealed by Time Out on Wednesday September 11 at a glamorous private event at the voco Riyadh for the Saudi capital’s best chefs and restaurateurs.

This marked the third edition of the awards, and it was the biggest one yet.

The event followed 12 months of independent and anonymous reviewing by our dedicated team, where we pay our way every single time. There’s no such thing as a free meal.

Now, drumroll… Time Out has released its definitive guide to the very best places to eat in Riyadh.

Time Out Riyadh Restaurant Awards 2024

Choosing where to eat out in the Saudi capital is a tough decision because diners are spoiled for choice with stellar restaurants and cafés.

We’ve been doing this for more than 20 years across the region so we know a thing or two about what makes an eatery worth your money, time and stomach space.

We want you to be able to choose the top restaurants in Riyadh that suit your every craving, mood and location each time you dine out.

Whether you like Lebanese or Italian, breakfast or burgers, we want you to eat out and have a sensational time doing it.

That’s why we have 24 categories in the Time Out Riyadh Restaurant Awards this year.

They span the huge range of cuisines and categories represented across the capital, from Americas and Asian to Japanese and Saudi. These are also themed categories ranging from Breakfast & Brunch to Afternoon Tea and Coffee, of course.

For 2024, the Time Out Riyadh Restaurant Awards also launched a Fast section, dedicated to casual dining experiences you can enjoy with your crew. Fast has made its debut with a bunch of new categories including Fried Chicken, Ice Cream & Gelato and Sandwich along with the returning (and always very popular) Burger category.

The Time Out Riyadh Restaurant Awards 2024 have also added a Barbecue category to Themed and Lebanese to the Regional list.

How does Time Out review restaurants?

We do things differently. For over 20 years, Time Out’s reviewers have conducted anonymous, independent restaurant visits in the region, booking anonymously and paying for every meal in order to establish which restaurants are truly worth diners’ time and money.

The Time Out Restaurant Awards are the longest-running, most established dining awards in the Middle East.

There are two Saudi editions of the Time Out Restaurants Awards. The first Time Out Jeddah Restaurant Awards was held in May 2023, following the first Riyadh Awards in September 2022. They are both annual events and celebrate the very best restaurants in each city
