One of the best and most famous footballers of all time is coming to Dubai this week following a last-minute venue switch by the Asian Football Federation.

Cristiano Ronaldo and his Al Nassr teammates will travel to the emirate for a game against one of Iran’s biggest football clubs Esteghlal.

If you want to see the Riyadh team in the UAE for a special match, this is your chance.

The Asian Champions League match was due to be played in Tehran on Tuesday October 22, but has been moved it.

It will now be played at 5pm GST on the same date at the home of Dubai’s Shabab Al-Ahli – Sheikh Rashid Stadium.

But tickets for the Asian Champions League match are selling fast warns Platinum List and start from Dhs250.

As it is considered a home match for Esteghlal, most sections in the stadium will be set aside for the Iranian side.

Sections 1, 1A, 2, 3, 3A, 4, 4A, 5, 6, 6A, 6B, 7, 7A, Premium and VIP will all be set aside for Esteghlal supporters.

And fans of the Saudi Pro League team, which also features former Liverpool forward Sadio Mané, ex-Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte and Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozović in the squad, will have sections 8, 9 and 9A in the stadium.

Esteghlal can count upon former English Premier League stars Gaël Kakuta and Didier Ndong in their squad.

This match is part of the elite section of the Asian Champions League which sees 12 of the best teams in west Asia in one big group competing for a place in the next round.

The group includes Al Wasl of Dubai and the reigning Asian champions Al Ain of Abu Dhabi.

After two matches, Al Nassr sit on four points following a draw with Iraqi club Al-Shorta and a 2-1 win against Al-Rayyan of Qatar.

Esteghlal won their opening game 3-0 against Al-Gharafa of Qatar but lost their second match against Al-Sadd of Qatar.

After eight matches, the eight best teams will progress to a knock-out round and the best team in the west will eventually play the best team in the east in the final.
