iPhone 16 KSA release date, price and features revealed after Apple launch

For loyal Apple fans it’s one of the biggest days in the calendar as we ask: when will the latest edition of the iPhone be available right here in the KSA?

We know that, as of Friday September 20, we are one of the first countries to get its hands on the iPhone 16.

KSA was revealed as one of the first 58 countries to get the iPhone 16 before anyone else.

Yes, the iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max have all been unveiled in California with a whole bunch of new features.

Pre-order for the Pro and 16 has started on Xtra, Aleph and Jarir on September 13, but you can now shop the iPhone in Saudi on the Apple website from Friday September September 20 and at other retailers.

What’s new with the iPhone 16?

Available in a range of colours, the standard iPhone 16 will have better camera control functions with easily adjustable functions like exposure or depth of field to allow you to frame shots the way you want them to look.

That all-important camera will also be capable of ultra-wide shots for close-ups and for better scenic photos. The specs of the main camera will be 48 megapixels and 12 megapixels for the ultra-wide. The Pro and Pro Max will also have 12 megapixel telephoto.

You’ll also have a significantly improved battery life with up to 27 hours of video playback on the 16 Plus and up to 22 hours on the iPhone 16.

How much will the new iPhone cost?

The price point for the new range of iPhones has not changed from previous editions, with Apple keeping in place a strategy it has used in recent years to hold onto its core customer base while luring those on the fence into switching.

The main 6.1 inch iPhone 16 will cost SAR3,999 with 128GB of storage, SAR4,499 with 256GB and SAR5,280 with 512GB.

The iPhone 16 Pro is priced around SAR4,299 with 128GB of storage, SAR4,699 with 256GB, SAR5,549 with 512GB and SAR6,399 with 1TB.

The higher-end iPhone 16 Pro Max will start from SAR5,099 with 256GB, SAR5,949 with 512GB and SAR6,799 with 1TB.
