Jeddah Central is coming.
The newly announced development will be home to many attractions, with three main landmarks being built to satisfy the art, sports and sea-lovers out there: an opera house, a stadium and an oceanarium.
The Jeddah Central Development Company revealed the new destination earlier this year, it is set to open by 2027 for both local and international visitors.
What’s more, the designs for the Opera House have been revealed as well.

Jeddah Central details
Saudi’s Jeddah Central Development Company has awarded four different contractors projects worth SAR12 billion to develop three major landmarks in the new Red Sea city destination: an opera house, a stadium and an oceanarium.
The project will also focus on the complex’s general infrastructure.
Set to open by 2027 for local and international visitors, the complex will involve key attractions such as the Marina District, Waterfront District, Sports Park district, Wellness District and many more.
The plan will also include the development of contemporary residential areas with over 25,000 housing units and multiple hotels with more than 6,500 rooms.

The new Jeddah destination will be situated in the Al Andalus area, right by the coast of the Red Sea and will cover an area of 5.7 million square metres.

The three major global landmarks set to be built for this new tourist attraction are the opera house, stadium and oceanarium, with other future landmarks in the works including a museum and a coral farm.
Other than the major landmarks, the project will be home to beach resorts, a marina as well as local and international restaurants, accommodations and shops.
Designs for the opera house have been revealed, with construction on it also commencing. The opera house will draw inspiration from Jeddah’s Al Balad and will sport three major halls: the 150-seat Rehearsal Hall, the mid-scale 750-seat Playhouse Theatre and the 1500-seat opera Red Sea Theatre.
The opera house will host global shows to set Jeddah as a cultural hub.
As for the stadium, it’ll be designed to accommodate 45,000 fans and will host major FIFA matches when open. Finally, the oceanarium will showcase the diverse creatures of the Red Sea.

Th Red Sea city is set to house many amazing future attractions.
