The Red Sea International Film Festival (RSIFF) is back for a fourth round – and it’s only a couple of months away.
Set to take place at its new headquarters in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Al Balad, mark you calendars from Thursday December 5 to Sunday December 15, 2024 – that’s when the lights, camera, action event returns.
The festival will be showcasing the latest storytelling trends, as well as emerging talents in Saudi and the region.

Red Sea International Film Festival
The Red Sea Film Festival is part of the Red Sea Film Foundation. Launched in 2019, the Jeddah-based event is a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting the film industry in Saudi, as well as the region. The event is for film lovers, filmmakers, and the global film industry, where it showcases blockbusters of the future before they hit the big screen. The festival also has immersive audio and visuals, in addition to short films.

The fourth edition of the film-focused event is heading back to the Red Sea city from Thursday December 5 to Sunday December 15, 2024.

This exciting announcement follows the festival’s impressive third edition in December 2023. The event showcased a diverse selection of 125 films from a remarkable 75 countries, with renowned filmmaker Baz Luhrmann leading the esteemed jury.
The festival buzzed with activity, featuring 17 competitive feature films and 25 shorts. Over 5,000 delegates participated in screenings and insightful panels, while a vibrant industry Red Sea Souk facilitated networking and deals between the 938 companies in attendance.
Beyond the competitive aspects, RSIFF has established itself as a platform for enriching film experiences. Previous editions have offered masterclasses and “In Conversation” sessions, providing audiences with exclusive access to renowned figures. The star power has been undeniable, with A-listers like Oscar nominee Kaouther Ben Hania gracing the event alongside Chris Hemsworth, Guy Ritchie, and countless other industry titans.
